What really sets the Samsung Series 7 Gaming Laptop apart from the crowd is the total overall functionality and diverse settings available for your use. Being able to dial in on energy conserving green settings, to full out gaming destruction are a few of the features making this gaming rig from Samsung stand out in the crowd. Never mind the hype over this laptop, the excitement is real, and as soon as it becomes available for sale, there will be a waiting line.
Lets dig into this laptop a little.
There are 4 modes of setting for this gaming laptop. A creative side mounted Mode Turn Dial allows you to have the ability to switch independently between 4 different preset modes for all around better performance when you are using this laptop for other things besides just gaming.
The Dial set at Gaming mode makes this system work harder and makes gaming easier with a better gaming configuration set up for intense gaming pleasure, turning the dial to it's Balanced setting is more ideal for general use, video editing, watching youtube or word processing.
When the dial is set to Library mode, the overall fan noise is reduced to almost silent and any flashy gaming or unneeded lighting or sound is switched to off. Now switch to Green mode and you can save power, and cut down on energy consumption, this is helpful during long downloads or even charging your smartphone using the 3.0 USB ports.
This Samsung has a very powerful duo fan cooling system that gathers outside air from the front of the laptop and runs it through directly over the GPU and CPU, then pushes the hot air directly out the back. In all 4 setting on the dial, the fan speeds are effected. In gaming mode, these fans run a full speed. The laptop almost sounds like a jet getting ready for take off when the dial is turned to gaming mode, but in Library mode or Green Mode these powerful fans are reduced to almost silent.
Intense CPU and GPU puts your heart on OMG mode the moment you have hands on with this beast. There are two known configurations for this laptop. The Sandy Bridge and the Ivy Bridge, while the Ivy is being rumored to have the Nvidia graphics, the rumor leaves you unsure if it will or will not have it. As of now it is outfitted with Radeon.
