The Laptop Tester Reviews | The Gateway One ZX6961-UR20P

The Gateway One ZX6961-UR20P is a touch screen with amazing performance!

This All-In-One PC comes with a 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i3-2100 Processor (3.1GHz, 3MB Total Cache) , along with a 6GB DDR3 memory bank, and a 1TB HDD. The 23" Touchscreen is fun and easy to use, Intel HD Graphics drives the systems graphics, and an upgradable Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

We tried this system out for about three days, and loved having to change our habits from mouse clicking to finger tip touch. I think that was the best part, getting used to using our fingers to do our clicking. I am so used to mouse clicking, that a number of times I almost forgot to use my fingers to touch the screen, but around the third day, I was a touch master on the screen.

The system could be a little faster, I think the processor could be a little stronger, but it was fine for most of our needs. The graphics were fine, for what it is. Over all we were very happy to have this new addition to play around with.

The i3-2100 processor isn't really what this system needs, I believe the i5 or i7 would make this rock, and I believe it's available in other touch screen models from Gateway, but our test system was with an i3, and did a good job keeping up with our tests. We ran several programs, videos and multi-tasked till our fingers hurt, it managed to keep up, but just not at a pace we would have liked to see.

Price for this system is about right and worth the money. If I was looking to buy this type of system, I would be willing to shell out the extra 200$ and get one with a better performing processor. So we gave this a 4 star review, and recommend shopping around for a more powerful system from Gateway.
