The Laptop Tester on Blogger tests the Acer Aspire ONE 722-BZ699.
The Review from Laptop Tester on Blogger
First of all, I love these netbooks from Acer. I had bought for myself the Acer Aspire One D255E and reviewed it with a five star rating for $250, this netbook is a little higher in price, around $419.99, but for a good reason.
I think the Aspire One 722 is really the big brother to the D255E. With an 11.6" inch screen and upgraded processor, and graphics card. The 722 runs a whole lot faster and more powerfully.
Once we received the 722, I took it on a 3 day drive across North Carolina and Florida. Testing it out at two hotels, a rest stop, and five restaurants. Let me explain, I was supposed to test it out at my home office, but we had to do a pick up down in Florida. I used a Verizon broadband USB device for a majority of the drive. No, I wasn't driving, but the drive was nice as I watched Family Guy clips and the such.
One thing I noted immediately was the small increase in size, didn't really match the bigger bang of processor speed and overall response. The AMD Fusion C-50 cuts like a knife through many processes and programs, a lot faster than the Atom for this netbook.
Graphics also seemed a whole lot better too. More fluidly in audio and better video playback. It wasn't OMG impressive, but pretty darn good anyways for video watching! I was impressed, and think highly of this netbook as an upgrade from the D255E.
The 11.6" Aspire One 721-722 series is thin and lightweight, yet boasts a full-size keyboard to deliver the best of both worlds - portability plus usability. This netbook also comes with a multi-gesture touchpad for scrolling, rotating images, zooming and browsing with mouse-less, fingertip convenience.
I give this netbook a 5 star rating, and a plus up for dependable and hardworking.
